Hamid Bourd, the caretaker of Iran's Ministry of Oil, following a visit to Assaluyeh, emphasized that national will acts as the driving force of the oil industry, and this industry has emerged victorious from the tests of resistance and resilience akin to wartime challenges. He expressed gratitude for the efforts of employees in rapidly reconstructing the fastest projects in the history of the oil industry, announcing that in the past six months, 100 million cubic meters of lost gas production capacity have been revived, and the reconstruction of four damaged gas refineries has made significant progress.
The Impact of Assaluyeh on Iran's Oil Industry
Hamid Bourd stated that Assaluyeh and its surrounding areas have become the beating heart of Iran's energy sector in the development sphere post-Islamic Revolution. This region has provided millions of Iranian citizens and industrialists easy access to natural gas and petrochemical products. He added that attacks on the country’s energy facilities, including in Kangan, Assaluyeh, and Mahshahr, are attacks on the symbols of Iran's development after the revolution.

Progress in Reconstruction and Major Repairs
Bourd also referred to the government's focus on reconstructing war damages and announced that the reconstruction of four damaged gas refineries in Assaluyeh has made remarkable progress. He emphasized that the monumental work of annual major repairs of refineries and platforms is being carried out according to plan, and necessary measures have been taken for managing the country's energy in the cold season.
Hamid Bourd, as a servant of Iran who has lived in the oil industry for nearly 35 years, believes that no program or management method could achieve the accomplishments of this intensive and heavy period of reconstruction, revival, and repairs without relying on the "iron will of the nation." He also added that the patriotic enthusiasm for building the homeland and reconstructing damaged facilities must be combined with solutions in the public culture for optimizing energy consumption.
In conclusion, Bourd emphasized the importance of his presence in Assaluyeh as a tribute to the heroic armed forces and to the people working hard in the country, stating that the oil industry, relying on the will of the people, has emerged victorious from the test of resistance. He introduced Assaluyeh as the steadfast pillar of the future architecture of Iran's oil industry and stressed the importance of continuing the revitalization of this symbol of pride for the Iranian oil industry.
