Background of Iran-Russia Cooperation
The history of cooperation between Iran and Russia in the oil and gas sector dates back decades, and these countries are inclined to synergize in this sector due to their rich energy resources. Joint projects such as the "Azadegan" oil field and the "South Pars" gas field demonstrate the serious commitment of both countries to develop cooperation. Given the special capacities of oil and gas fields in Iran, this country can be considered a key partner for Zarubezhneft in international projects.
