Hamid Bord, the caretaker of the Ministry of Oil, visited the damaged facilities in the South Pars Energy Special Economic Zone on October 13. During this visit, he told reporters that the major repairs of these facilities have been carried out well and on time in the months of September and October, and a significant portion of the related activities has been completed.

Objectives of the Visit and Project Status

Bord stated that the purpose of this visit was to convey the President's greetings to the oil and gas production workers and to assess the regional issues on-site. He added that reconstruction and development projects are being pursued more rapidly to create conditions for providing sustainable and appropriate services to the people in the winter season by addressing existing obstacles.

The caretaker of the Ministry of Oil further referred to the country's critical situation and the actions of enemies, urging citizens to cooperate in preserving the country's resources by adhering to consumption patterns and conserving energy. Bord emphasized that national solidarity and collective efforts can help the country successfully navigate these difficult conditions.

Visit to Refineries and Existing Challenges

During this visit, the caretaker of the Ministry of Oil inspected the third, fourth, fifth, and sixth refineries of the South Pars Gas Complex and was informed about the latest status of reconstruction and actions taken to revive the damaged sections of these refineries. These refineries have been damaged as a result of enemy attacks during the imposed war. The purpose of this visit was to assess the progress of reconstruction operations, identify existing obstacles and challenges, and take necessary measures to expedite the revival of the damaged sections.

The refineries of the South Pars Gas Complex, with a daily production capacity of over 225 million cubic meters of natural gas, are among the most important facilities in the country for energy supply. Therefore, the reconstruction and improvement of the performance of these refineries have been prioritized by the Ministry of Oil and the government.
