Goltens Worldwide has announced that it has entered into an agreement to sell itself to HD Hyundai Marine Solutions (HMS). This deal is seen as a significant milestone in Goltens' long-term development and is expected to be completed by the end of the fourth quarter of 2026 or early in the first quarter of 2027.
Integration of Capabilities and Services
This agreement points to the integration of Goltens' engineering capabilities and global services with HMS's complementary strengths. After the completion of this deal, Goltens will continue to operate as an independent service provider, maintaining the service approach, customer relationships, and technical expertise for which it has been known for eighty-six years. Goltens' global network of service centers and field engineering teams can also create strong synergies with HMS, helping the organization provide better services to customers in its growing after-sales base, including the large fleet of ships and engines built by HD Hyundai.
Development and Investment Opportunities
The proposed agreement provides opportunities to expand technical capabilities, strengthen global service coverage, and support investment in people, facilities, and technologies. Goltens and HMS believe in the high potential for collaboration to assist customers in meeting complex maintenance needs, operational efficiency, and carbon reduction in the marine, energy, and industrial sectors.
Sandeep Seth, CEO of Goltens Worldwide, stated: "This agreement presents an exciting opportunity to build on Goltens' strengths and expand what we can offer to our customers. Our independence and the trust our customers place in us are at the core of our business. We will continue to provide services to them with the same speed, technical expertise, and commitment that they have always expected from Goltens. With HMS, we see significant scope for investment, growth, and the development of capabilities that will create long-term value for customers."
As the completion of the deal approaches, Goltens will continue its normal operations. Customers and partners can continue to collaborate with existing Goltens contacts and rely on the company's established service network for ongoing projects, scheduled maintenance, and immediate support.
