The Ilam Gas Company provides free gas consumption optimization services to subscribers in this province. This initiative was announced in a meeting titled Fuel Consumption Optimization chaired by Ahmad Karami, the Governor of Ilam. Ali Soleimani, the CEO of the Ilam Gas Company, emphasized that contracted service companies provide optimization services free of charge to subscribers.
Online Monitoring of Gas Consumption in Large Industries
Soleimani also referred to the online monitoring of gas consumption in the large industries of the province, stating that the gas consumption of two major industries, Ilam Petrochemical and the Cement Factory, is monitored online. He added that preparations for monitoring and tracking the consumption of 14 other industries are also underway.
Tiered Gas Consumption Pricing
The CEO of the Ilam Gas Company stated regarding tiered gas consumption pricing that four tiers of consumption have been set for subscribers, and each county will be priced according to its specific climate and weather conditions. Soleimani, referring to the cold months of the year and the increase in gas consumption in the province, urged subscribers to adhere to optimal consumption patterns to assist the gas company in ensuring sustainable gas supply.
He also emphasized that the sustainability of the gas network during the cold days of the year can only be achieved with the cooperation and collaboration of the people, and even a slight reduction in consumption plays a significant role in supplying gas to residential, commercial, and industrial subscribers. Soleimani further stated that observing safety tips and saving gas consumption is essential, and setting the home temperature to 20 degrees Celsius, wearing warm clothing, and insulating gas pipes can be helpful.
The Necessity of Smart Management of Consumption
Ahmad Karami, the Governor of Ilam, emphasized the necessity of transitioning from traditional management to smart management and demand management in all areas during this meeting. He stated that changing equipment and boiler rooms is not sufficient for optimization, and there is a need to reconsider consumption models, educate, and empower personnel in the field of renewable energy development.
Karami also ordered that the performance of all departments in the area of gas and electricity consumption be monitored, and an energy report be created for the precise evaluation of the management and performance of each agency. Inspections must be conducted seriously and on-site, and preventing energy waste in heating and cooling systems is essential.
