Firefighters in Iran's oil and gas fields face major challenges and serious dangers from fire and explosions on a daily basis. Working alongside oil and gas reservoirs and facilities not only requires expertise and experience, but due to the presence of flammable materials, heat, and smoke, it has become one of the most difficult and hazardous missions.
Risks in Oil Fields
Oil fields such as the Karun oil field, with a production capacity of 300,000 barrels per day, and the Aghajari oil field, with a capacity of 100,000 barrels, are the main centers of oil production in the country and are constantly exposed to fire hazards. Firefighters, equipped with advanced and heavy gear, work under harsh conditions and high temperatures to control the flames and protect the lives of colleagues and facilities.

Equipment and Training of Firefighters
Firefighters in the oil industry must continuously participate in training courses to familiarize themselves with the latest fire extinguishing methods and techniques. These courses include simulations of real fire conditions in oil fields so that firefighters can respond quickly and effectively to hazards. The equipment used includes fire-resistant clothing, fire extinguishers, and advanced fire suppression systems, which play a vital role in the success of operations.
Experience has shown that with proper preparedness and equipment, firefighters can effectively face critical conditions and prevent loss of life and property. In recent years, with the increase in oil and gas production in the country, the need to strengthen firefighting capabilities has also been strongly felt.
