Farzaneh Ansari, the head of the National Standard Organization of Iran, during her visit to a gas heater production unit, pointed out the necessity of improving energy efficiency in industrial production. She stated that given the energy imbalance in the country, increasing efficiency in fuel consumption is essential.
Review of the Quality Status of Industrial Products
In this regard, Ansari referred to the examination of the quality status and compliance of products with standards and added: "Providing energy consumption management solutions in production is one of the priorities of the National Standard Organization of Iran." She emphasized that in this context, the organization is looking to support quality products and provide incentives to producers who manufacture high-quality products.

Transformation in Standardization Approach
The head of the National Standard Organization of Iran addressed the transformative approach of this organization in transitioning to the third generation of standardization and said: "The National Standard Organization is changing its approach from purely mandatory standards to technical regulations based on the European CE model." She also announced that a draft guideline related to this topic is ready to be presented to the Supreme Council of Standards.
Ansari stated that this guideline could be piloted using international experiences to establish oversight based on self-declaration by the producer and risk assessment. This action is aimed at improving quality and increasing energy efficiency in the country's industrial production.
Obligation for Optimal Energy Consumption in Gas Appliances
The head of the National Standard Organization of Iran also emphasized the necessity of paying attention to the obligations of optimal energy consumption in gas appliances and said: "We must pay more attention to energy requirements and standards related to gas heaters." In this meeting, discussions were held regarding the revision of the standard for gas heaters and the mandatory use of thermostatic valves.
Farzaneh Ansari concluded by reminding the necessity of greater cooperation between producers and standard organizations and emphasized that improving quality and efficiency can help enhance the country's energy situation.
