Mousa Ahmadi, the head of the Energy Commission of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, emphasized the necessity of securing financial resources for the damaged South Pars refineries as winter approaches. This cooperation between the government and parliament aims to ensure sustainable gas supply and readiness of energy infrastructure during the cold days of the year.

Energy Infrastructure Readiness in Winter

Ahmadi stated during a visit by the caretaker of the Ministry of Oil to the South Pars refineries that the government and parliament are collaborating to smoothly navigate through the cold days of the year. He added: "Planning and oversight in this area have been carried out, and the signed memorandums and contracts can also be effective in resolving regional issues."

He also emphasized that clarifying the details of the actions taken, the allocated resources, and the timeline for addressing damages will help assess the readiness of South Pars ahead of winter. Ultimately, the goal of these programs should be the sustainability of production and energy supply during the cold days of the year.

Financial Support for the Ministry of Oil

Ahmadi further stressed the role of financial support in advancing the Ministry of Oil's programs and stated that parliament will stand by this ministry. He mentioned: "Wherever necessary, we will provide the required support in terms of budget, allocation of credits, and negotiations with the National Development Fund." These statements reflect attention to securing financial resources and technical and executive planning in the process of resolving regional issues.

Ahmadi also pointed out that declaring readiness for financial support does not mean the definitive allocation of resources, and the approved budget amount, timing of payments, and spending methods can affect the speed of project implementation. Therefore, following up on the required credits and clarifying spending priorities are issues that could be important in evaluating the performance of responsible agencies in the coming months.

Attention to People’s Needs and Regional Issues

The head of the Energy Commission of Parliament referred to the actions taken to address the problems of the people and meet their essential needs as winter approaches. He stated that his colleagues have pursued related issues seriously, and resolving local problems and meeting the essential needs of the people in areas related to energy infrastructure is of high importance.

Ahmadi also emphasized the need to follow up on regional issues and meet the people's needs while maintaining the readiness of facilities, adding: "The details of these actions must be clarified to allow for a more accurate assessment of the actions taken."

Government and Parliament Cooperation as a Main Criterion

Ahmadi emphasized the necessity of mutual support and cooperation between the government and parliament as a factor for accelerating the resolution of issues. He stated that as winter approaches, the ability of responsible agencies to turn plans and agreements into executive actions is of high importance.

Timely provision of financial resources, setting a specific timeline for addressing damages, and continuous follow-up of the Ministry of Oil's programs are among the key factors that can impact the readiness of energy infrastructure. As a result, cooperation and interaction between the government and parliament are presented as a fundamental necessity in this regard.
