The gas fifth line ball receiver station was commissioned in 28 days. Behnam Mirzaei, CEO of the Iranian Gas Engineering and Development Company, emphasized the importance of this project, stating that the construction operations for this station began last August.
Execution Operations and Time Record
Mirzaei stressed that given the importance of this line in the gas transmission network and the necessity of preparing its infrastructure, the project was executed with a focus on accelerating operations and maximizing the use of existing capacities. The completion and commissioning of this project in 28 days is a significant record in the execution of similar projects and demonstrates the capacity and capability of the gas industry in simultaneously carrying out specialized, technical, and operational activities under compressed and complex conditions.

Attention to Quality and Safety
The CEO of the Iranian Gas Engineering and Development Company stated that one of the fundamental principles in executing gas industry projects is to create a balance between speed, quality, safety, and reliability. This project was completed based on this principle, focusing on timely decision-making, coordination among various factors, and field management. To achieve this record, the design and construction of special components, specific welding requirements, quality and technical controls, special valve arrangements, tie-in operations, and the implementation of isolation and safety requirements were carried out within a very tight timeframe.
Importance of Gas Infrastructure
Mirzaei pointed out the strategic importance of the main gas transmission lines in the country, stating that monitoring the transmission lines is an important tool for cleaning the line, monitoring internal conditions, controlling corrosion, and assessing the health and thickness of the pipe walls. From this perspective, the construction and development of ball receiver stations along the pipeline routes serve as an infrastructural function to enhance reliability, improve safety, and ensure the stability of gas transmission in the national network.
He also mentioned the necessity of preparing the gas transmission network for the cold months of the year, stating that with the increase in gas production and transmission volume, followed by an increase in the operational load of the lines during these months, any action that can reduce operational risks and increase the reliability of the network is of special importance. The commissioning of this station can help better manage operational conditions and maintain the stability of gas flow in the fifth line.
Mirzaei concluded by reminding that this achievement shows that whenever precise planning, timely decision-making, field management, and coordination among relevant entities come together, strategic projects can be successfully completed even within very tight timelines and without deviating from technical and safety requirements.
