Artificial intelligence, as a key concept in global economic transformations, especially in Iran, has become a strategic necessity for economic development. According to predictions from reputable institutions, artificial intelligence could add between $4.4 trillion to $15.7 trillion in value to the global GDP annually by 2030. These developments require significant investments in infrastructure and institutions related to artificial intelligence.

Structural Challenges and the Need for Renewal

Iran's economy faces serious challenges in securing the necessary infrastructure for artificial intelligence. There is a significant gap in investment costs between Iran and neighboring countries like the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia, which are launching large data centers and purchasing advanced equipment. While neighboring countries are spending billions of dollars on developing AI infrastructure, Iran struggles with a lack of cash investment and infrastructural challenges such as power grid imbalances and internet restrictions.

The Necessity of Indigenous Models in Advantageous Industries

Despite existing barriers, Iran's economy is moving towards designing practical indigenous models in advantageous industries such as oil and gas, petrochemicals, and the agricultural distribution chain. These industries, due to their lower need for complex infrastructure, can quickly leverage the benefits of artificial intelligence and bring about billions of dollars in economic savings. Additionally, reducing waste and optimizing energy consumption in these industries can help improve the country's economic situation.

Ultimately, attracting specialized human capital and creating effective collaborations between public and private sectors can help establish a suitable environment for the use of artificial intelligence in Iran. Currency policies, research budgets, and support packages should be designed to attract elites and investors towards the development of artificial intelligence technologies.
