The Importance of Adhering to HSE Requirements
The manager of health, safety, environment, and civil defense of the National Iranian Gas Company noted that the level of adherence to HSE should be evaluated based on individuals' performance. Shokouhian added: "Senior managers and officials of subsidiary companies must prioritize the requirements of this area and not just verbally express the importance of safety."
He also considered attention to the safety and health of employees, providing opportunities for their participation in training courses, and sensitivity to the condition of facilities as examples of practical adherence to HSE. Shokouhian added: "HSE should not be seen as separate from maintenance, repairs, and daily activities; because whenever this separation occurs, we will definitely fail."
Continuity of Training and Continuous Follow-up
Shokouhian, referring to the continuity of training in this area, said: "Training courses, including special courses for HSE heads, have not been halted despite some limitations." He expects all levels of the organization, from senior management to personnel who may enter the company for even one day, to have a unified and comprehensive view of HSE issues.
The manager of health, safety, environment, and civil defense of the National Iranian Gas Company, while appreciating the performance of colleagues in this area over the past year, despite the shortage of human resources and issues arising from war and civil defense requirements, stated that despite these challenges, the responsible presence of HSE personnel in emergency situations demonstrates the importance of this area.
