Ahmad Salari Far, the manager of the National Iranian Oil Products Distribution Company in Kerman, announced a 44% increase in CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) consumption in Kerman province in September this year compared to the same period last year. This increase indicates a greater acceptance of this clean and economical fuel by citizens.
Details of the increase in CNG consumption
Salari Far emphasized that a significant portion of the CNG station capacity in Kerman province is still available for use, and this capacity can help improve fuel consumption management. Given the increasing demand for CNG, optimal use of these infrastructures can help preserve the province's energy resources and reduce dependence on fossil fuels.
Vehicle conversion plan to dual-fuel
The manager of the National Iranian Oil Products Distribution Company in Kerman also referred to the free conversion plan of gasoline vehicles to dual-fuel, stating: "This plan allows eligible vehicle owners to take advantage of this opportunity after receiving a text message. This action not only helps increase the share of CNG in the province's fuel basket but can also be effective in managing gasoline consumption."
Salari Far noted that the National Iranian Oil Products Distribution Company in Kerman will continue to ensure sustainable fuel supply while promoting the use of alternative fuels and utilizing existing capacities to manage energy consumption. These actions are aimed at responding to the growing needs of citizens and reducing environmental pollution.
Benefits of using CNG
Using CNG as an alternative fuel to gasoline and diesel has multiple benefits. This fuel not only reduces fuel costs but also helps preserve public health by reducing environmental pollutants. In the current situation, where concerns about air pollution have significantly increased, increasing the use of CNG can be an effective solution.
Finally, Ahmad Salari Far urged citizens to use this clean fuel and contribute to improving air quality and reducing fossil fuel consumption by participating in this plan. Given the high capacity of CNG stations and supportive government plans, it is expected that in the near future, the share of CNG in the fuel basket of Kerman province will increase.
