Mohammad Ali Shafiei, CEO of Ovik Company, announced that the progress of the South Pars refineries reconstruction project has reached over 48%. This project, recognized as one of the strategic priorities of the country in energy supply and addressing gas imbalance, is of great importance.
Presence of the Acting Minister of Oil in South Pars
Shafiei added in an interview with our reporter that the presence of Hamid Bourd, the Acting Minister of Oil, in the South Pars region demonstrates the Ministry of Oil's emphasis on the importance of this project. Bourd has directly visited the reconstruction process of the refineries, and this can help expedite the project's implementation.

Details of the Reconstruction Project
After 46 days since the start of the operational activities, the project's progress has reached a significant level. Shafiei referred to the support and backing provided for this project and expressed hope that one of the refinery units will be operational by early January this year. This unit, with a daily production capacity of 12.5 million cubic meters of gas, can significantly contribute to the country's energy supply.
The reconstruction project of the South Pars refineries is of special importance due to its high capacity for natural gas production and its impact on the country's energy supply. Given that these refineries play a key role in supplying gas for domestic consumption and exporting it to global markets, accelerating the reconstruction process of these facilities can help improve the gas imbalance situation.
Future Outlook
Shafiei added: With the successful implementation of this project and the operation of new units, it is expected that the country's gas production will significantly increase, which can help improve the economic and energy conditions of the country. This project can also serve as a model for other industrial and energy projects in the country.
