The "Mehrabano, Energy Ambassadors" campaign has become a sustainable program in the oil industry. Sedigheh Khazaei, the Deputy for Management Development and Human Capital at the Ministry of Oil, referred to the challenges of energy imbalance in the country during the launch ceremony of this campaign on October 19, 2023, and stated: Sanctions, increased consumption, and industrial development are effective factors on the current energy situation. Damage to gas facilities during the war has affected part of the country's production capacity. Nevertheless, the expertise and capabilities of oil industry specialists have helped return a significant portion of production to the grid.

The Necessity of Consumption Management in Cold Months

Khazaei emphasized the necessity of managing consumption during the cold months of the year, adding: Despite the efforts made, we still face energy imbalance, and all sectors must cooperate to ensure the heating of homes and the continuity of industrial activities. Achieving this goal requires public participation and continuous cultural development.

The Role of Women in Energy Consumption Management

The Deputy for Management Development and Human Capital at the Ministry of Oil stated that women play a significant role in the oil industry. Women specialists in this industry have a prominent role in strengthening social and national resilience. The presence of capable women in specialized and managerial fields should be strengthened based on their qualifications and expertise so that the potential of this segment of the country's human capital can be utilized.

Khazaei pointed out that the spouses of employees and families in the oil industry can also play an effective role in promoting the culture of optimizing energy consumption. Additionally, retirees and veteran specialists in the oil industry can contribute to expanding this collective movement based on their experiences.

She emphasized the need to create sustainable changes in consumer behavior and stated: Cooperation among various sectors of the oil industry should be pursued in the form of memorandums of understanding and structured programs. To create sustainable change, temporary actions are not sufficient, and attention should be paid to coherent and assessable programs.

In conclusion, Khazaei referred to the role of the National Iranian Gas Company in public awareness and stated: Specialized concepts in the field of gas production and consumption must be translated into simple and understandable language for the public. Furthermore, the cooperation of managers, employees, and families is essential for managing gas consumption in winter.
