Saeed Rahman-Salari, the manager of the CNG project at the National Iranian Oil Products Distribution Company, announced the start of the free conversion plan for internet taxis to dual-fuel across the country. This plan has been implemented since Saturday, September 19, with the aim of managing fuel consumption and reducing gasoline imbalance.
Details of Registration and Criteria for Vehicle Selection
Rahman-Salari stated that registration is available for all active high-mileage vehicles on internet platforms, and eligible vehicle owners can receive a text message to visit the system gcr.niopdc.ir and complete the registration process. This action is designed to address gasoline imbalance and enhance the share of CNG in household and public transportation fuel baskets.

He also explained the criteria for selecting vehicles for conversion to gas, noting that the list of vehicles has been sent by internet platforms, and confirmation text messages will gradually be sent to vehicle owners. The selection criteria in each city depend on geographical area and mileage. In some areas, a daily mileage of over 100 kilometers and in others, 48 trips per week have been considered.
Reception of the Plan and Registration Statistics
Rahman-Salari pointed out the positive reception of this plan, announcing that about 5,000 applicants from across the country have registered in the system so far. The provinces of Tehran, Alborz, and Kerman have had the highest registration rates, but now applicants in all provinces can apply for the free conversion of gasoline vehicles to dual-fuel.
This plan is presented as an important action in line with the overarching policies of the Ministry of Oil to control gasoline imbalance and reduce household and public transportation fuel costs. Rahman-Salari emphasized that internet platforms will send text messages to their applicants, and internet taxis that receive confirmation messages can visit the website and complete the registration process to be prioritized for free conversion to dual-fuel systems.
