Seyed Mohammad Atabak, in an interview with Mehr News Agency, explained the latest status of the reconstruction of steel and petrochemical industries affected by the war and announced that, considering the chain approach to reconstruction, significant acceleration has been achieved in this process.

Return of Petrochemical and Steel Units to Production Cycle

The Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade said: "Currently, a large number of petrochemical units have returned to the production cycle, and many steel units have also been reactivated." According to him, the reconstruction of melting furnaces has been completed in most cases, and these furnaces have returned to the production path. Additionally, some of the reduction furnaces are still under reconstruction, and efforts to resolve related issues continue.

Supply of Sheets Needed for Industries

Seyed Mohammad Atabak, referring to the supply of sheets needed for the automotive industry, assured that there are no concerns in this regard. He also stated that the supply of sheets needed for home appliance industries is being carried out well, and there are no issues in this regard.

These developments in the petrochemical and steel sectors reflect ongoing and planned efforts to restore these industries to normal status and ensure the supply of domestic needs. Given the dependency of these industries on the supply chain, the actions taken have not only helped activate production units but will also lead to an improvement in the country's economic situation.

The Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade emphasized that the process of reconstruction and activation of affected units is a priority on the government's agenda, and efforts will always be made to improve it quickly. On the other hand, given the existing capacities, it is expected that these units will soon return to pre-crisis conditions.
