SATBA (Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Organization) announced its plans for the development of solar power plants in government buildings. Jafar Mohammadzadeh Sigaroudi, Deputy for Investment and Development at SATBA, pointed to the country's potential in the field of renewable energies and emphasized that this organization is ready to collaborate with the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Finance to expedite the implementation of solar projects.
SATBA's Plans for Renewable Energy Development
Mohammadzadeh Sigaroudi stated that the government emphasizes the development of renewable power plant capacity, adding: "Despite the forecast of more limited goals in the seventh development plan based on the country's existing capacities, the development of solar and wind power plants up to 30,000 megawatts is on the agenda." He also referred to the recent increase in renewable power plant capacity exceeding 650 megawatts and mentioned that the focus is on developing plants that are constructed at the point of consumption.

Potential of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Finance
The Deputy of SATBA referred to the capacities of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Finance for the development of solar power plants and said: "Buildings, parking lots, and lands under the control of this ministry and its affiliated organizations in the provinces can be used as locations for the construction of solar power plants." This action not only helps meet the required electricity but also paves the way for greater self-sufficiency of agencies in energy supply.
Mohammadzadeh Sigaroudi also emphasized the economic attractiveness of investing in solar power plants, stating: "Research shows that considering the country's needs, the payback period for these plants is about three and a half to four years." This clearly indicates the high potential of this sector for investment and financing.
SATBA, considering the existing needs and opportunities, is committed to close collaboration with the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Finance to facilitate the licensing processes and contract arrangements. This collaboration can help expedite the implementation of solar projects and ensure sustainable energy supply.
