The Oil Industry Football Club of Abadan was promoted to the Premier League last year, which led to a special focus on improving the sports facilities of this club.

Details of the Renovation of Takhti Stadium

Vaziri further mentioned that 17 out of 19 requirements from the Football Federation for the renovation of Takhti Stadium have been completed and said: "Actions such as standardizing the track around the grass field, removing the fences around the field, and repairing emergency exit doors have been carried out." These changes have been made to enhance the safety and comfort of spectators and players.

The head of social and welfare services at the Abadan Oil Refining Company also referred to the design and construction of a special section for women, which did not previously exist in the stadium. He added: "This section allows women to enter the stadium through a separate path and enjoy watching the game." Additionally, the reinforcement of the eastern side of the stadium is nearing completion.

Renovation of the Locker Room and Other Actions

Mohsen Vaziri also mentioned the renovation of the athletes' locker room and said: "The locker room space for the host and guest teams, which previously lacked adequate safety, has been renovated. This renovation includes replacing water heaters and installing cooling systems in the athletes' transit area."

He emphasized that other actions are also underway, including replacing pipes, installing suction pumps to prevent flooding during heavy rainfall, and enhancing the stadium's lighting to meet international standards. The complete replacement of the stadium seats is also on the agenda and will be implemented soon after the winner of the tender is determined.

Vaziri concluded by mentioning the creation of a press area, a separate space for VAR, and drinking water facilities throughout the stadium, stating that according to the planning, this stadium will be fully ready for operation by the start of the second half of the Premier League.
