Managers of the National Iranian Oil Company and Pars Oil and Gas Company reviewed the latest status of gas production and the reconstruction process of the damaged refineries in Pars South. This meeting was chaired by Farakh Ali Khani, the head of executive affairs and integrated planning manager of the National Iranian Oil Company, and attended by Reza Kheylaei, the oil and gas production supervision manager of this company, Touraj Dehghani, the CEO of Pars Oil and Gas Company, and a number of senior managers from both organizations.

Review of Gas Production Status and Refinery Reconstruction

During this meeting, the gas extraction process from the shared Pars South field, production plans, and the progress of the reconstruction of the damaged refineries were reviewed. Given that Pars South accounts for over 70% of the country's gas supply, the attending managers discussed the necessary actions for maximum preparedness in the cold months and the challenges arising from recent conflicts.

Farakh Ali Khani, referring to the strategic position of the Pars South gas field in the country's economy and energy security, appreciated the efforts of the employees and specialists of Pars Oil and Gas Company and called for the continuation and acceleration of activities to achieve maximum gas production in the winter season.

Meeting the Country's Gas Needs and Reconstruction Plans

Touraj Dehghani, the CEO of Pars Oil and Gas Company, presented a report on the latest production actions and reconstruction plans for the damaged refineries. According to him, the reconstruction of the damaged facilities in phases 4 and 5, phases 9 and 10, and phase 14 of Pars South is on the agenda. These refineries are gradually being revived with the cooperation of contractors and the implementation of round-the-clock activities to restore gas processing capacity to an optimal state.

During the 12-day war and the Ramadan war, a total of five Pars South refineries were targeted. The reconstruction operations of these facilities continue with the aim of restoring the country's gas production capacity to the maximum possible level. Given the role of Pars South in supplying gas to residential, commercial, power generation, and industrial sectors, the speed of reconstruction progress and the extent of the return of damaged capacities to production are considered important factors in the readiness of the country's gas network for the winter season.

However, the exact timeline for completing the reconstructions, the amount of lost capacity, and the volume of gas that will return to the network with the restart of each section has not yet been announced.
