REalloys (NASDAQ: ALOY) is executing one of the most ambitious industrial projects in North America aimed at supplying rare earth production capacity. The company has recently gathered various stages of the rare earth production process and is preparing for commercial production.
Raw Material Supply
The supply of raw materials for rare earth elements is the foundation of the supply chain for any permanent magnet manufacturing plant. Rare earth elements such as dysprosium and terbium are critically important due to their applications in defense and aerospace industries, including in fighter jets and guided weapons. Over the past two years, REalloys has managed to secure a diverse portfolio of rare earth raw materials from several allied sources.

The company has also signed an exclusive agreement with the Saskatchewan Research Council that provides long-term access to separated raw materials. Additionally, REalloys has signed a 15-year contract with Critical Metals Corp to supply 15% of the production from the first phase of the Tanbreez project in Greenland, one of the largest rare earth reserves outside of China.
Metalization Platform Construction
Metalization is the next stage in the production of rare earth elements. In March, the U.S. Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) signed a contract worth $1.7 million with REalloys to design a modular metalization plant capable of producing 300 metric tons of samarium and gadolinium metals per year. This plant is designed to be the largest rare earth metalization facility outside of China and the first large commercial platform in the Western Hemisphere, with commercial production expected to begin in early 2027.
This project will not only help meet the needs of the defense industry but will also revive manufacturing capabilities in North America that have been lost for decades. Given that the U.S. Department of Defense is rebuilding its weapon stockpile, securing rare materials for the construction of these weapons has become a priority.
As the United States seeks to reduce dependence on Chinese suppliers, REalloys plans to become one of the main suppliers of rare earth materials in the global market. The company aims to meet the needs of various industries, particularly the defense sector, by securing raw materials and creating production capacity.
