Ramin Hatami emphasized the necessity of planning for the future at the meeting reviewing the predicted productivity of the Karun Oil and Gas Operating Company wells. He said: "The continuity of reliable and sustainable production requires timely identification of needs and forecasting technical and operational requirements." Hatami added that the implementation of development projects and the creation of necessary infrastructure is a time-consuming process, and any delay in decision-making can challenge the achievement of production goals.
The necessity of utilizing the knowledge and experience of specialists
Hatami further pointed to the necessity of utilizing the knowledge and experience of specialized personnel and stated: "Planning for the future should be done with a perspective beyond past approaches and based on a precise understanding of the issues and conditions ahead." He emphasized that in this path, examining various options and providing expert solutions compatible with technical and operational realities will be the basis for effective decision-making.
Reviewing the capacity of processing facilities
The CEO of the National South Oilfields Company listed reviewing the capacity of existing processing facilities as one of the requirements for future planning and said: "The capacity of these facilities should be assessed in line with production scenarios in the coming years so that potential limitations can be identified in a timely manner and necessary actions to address them can be anticipated." Hatami also referred to determining the structural and operational needs in the field and reservoir areas and added: "It should be clarified how much the existing structures meet future needs. What mechanisms do we need to effectively advance the plans?"
Hatami further clarified that expert proposals in this area should be based on real needs and consider the operational requirements in operating companies and headquarters. He also emphasized the necessity of integrated assessment of production capacities, noting: "Planning for the future is not limited to the amount of oil reserves but should simultaneously consider reservoir and field conditions, geographical distribution, collection and transfer networks, and the capacity of processing facilities."
Ultimately, Hatami emphasized that production, drilling, and infrastructure development plans should be formulated within a coordinated framework that aligns with future needs. He highlighted the importance of developing practical and effective operational solutions to achieve the set goals, referring to the existing challenges in the oil and gas industry.
