Rahim Safavi, assistant and senior advisor to the Commander-in-Chief, addressed the strategic role of the oil industry in the country's power equation at a meeting attended by experts and specialists in the oil and energy sector. He pointed out that Iran is one of the countries rich in oil resources in the world, emphasizing that optimal utilization of these resources can have a significant impact on the political and economic equations of the country.

Strategic Role of Oil Fields

Rahim Safavi further stated: "A large part of Iran's power equation is determined not only in the field of public presence but especially in the oil fields." He highlighted the need to increase production and efficiency in these fields, referring specifically to the large oil fields of the country, including the Azadegan oil field with a capacity of 325,000 barrels per day and the Yaran oil field with a capacity of 120,000 barrels per day, which can play a key role in meeting domestic needs and oil exports.

Economic and Political Consequences

Rahim Safavi, referring to the economic and political consequences resulting from the development of the oil industry, said: "The development of oil fields can serve as an effective tool in strengthening international relations and increasing Iran's bargaining power on the global stage." He also noted that given the international sanctions, focusing on increasing oil production and exports can be a key strategy to counter economic pressures.

In this regard, Rahim Safavi urged the government and officials to provide the necessary grounds for improving oil extraction and processing through careful planning and the use of modern technologies. He also emphasized the need for international cooperation in the energy sector, stating: "We must utilize the existing capacities in the international arena to take effective steps towards the development of the country's oil and gas industry."
