OPEC+ oil producers in the Gulf region have been unable to meet their set targets due to a significant drop in production caused by disruptions from military conflicts. These disruptions, primarily resulting from the military aggression of the United States and the Zionist regime against Iran, have led to a sharp decline in oil exports from these countries. The oil export levels of OPEC+ members have fluctuated between 60 to 80 percent of normal levels in recent months.

Uncertainty in Production Capacity Review

The imposed war against Iran has also delayed the review of the production capacity of OPEC+ members. This review is crucial for determining members' production quotas for 2027, but the current critical conditions have created uncertainty in forecasting future production potential.

Looking Ahead to Oil Production

According to obtained information, OPEC+, which includes the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) and its allies including Russia, has decided to keep production targets unchanged for November. This decision comes as OPEC+ was increasing production targets in 2026 after years of cuts. However, due to ongoing conflicts in the Middle East, much of this increase has remained only on paper and has not been realized.

In August, seven main OPEC+ members, including Saudi Arabia, Russia, Iraq, Kuwait, Algeria, Kazakhstan, and Oman, achieved a production of 25 million barrels per day, which shows an increase of 630,000 barrels compared to the production of 24.4 million barrels per day in July. However, this level of production is still about 5 million barrels per day lower than the production level before the war began in February.

OPEC+ continues to implement a production cut of about 2 million barrels per day for most members. Informed sources have stated that the group needs to review capacity to make decisions regarding the distribution of increased production, and it is unlikely that any changes in production levels will occur before 2027.
