Shakri emphasized during this visit that any obstacles in the way of reconstructing damaged industrial units must be removed. Referring to the Minister of Oil's emphasis on the importance of this issue, he stated that the Ministry of Oil is alongside petrochemical companies to expedite the return of these units to pre-war conditions.
In this context, the proposals and solutions from the CEOs of the petrochemical companies based in the Mahshahr region were reviewed. Shakri referred to the results of the meeting with these managers and said: "It was decided to form a joint task force to examine the existing issues and challenges and to develop appropriate solutions to support the petrochemical industries."
Details of the support package and the joint task force
The aim of forming this task force is to draft a special support package for the petrochemical industries and to provide the necessary grounds for the revival of industrial activities in the Mahshahr Special Economic Zone. Shakri added that this support package could help increase production capacity and reduce the damages incurred by industrial units.
The CEO of the National Petrochemical Company, during his two-day visit to the Special Economic Zone, visited the petrochemical companies of Bandar Imam, Karun, Amir Kabir, Razi, and Fajr Energy of the Persian Gulf. These visits were aimed at gaining awareness of the latest actions taken in these complexes and holding special meetings with the managers of the petrochemical companies in the region.
