Mohammad Reza Aref, the First Vice President, today (Tuesday, October 6) emphasized the importance of changes in the performance of this ministry during the introduction ceremony of Hamid Bord as the caretaker of the Ministry of Oil. Aref stated that any change could pave the way for significant leaps in the Ministry of Oil, and therefore, he assessed the selection of Bord as the caretaker of this ministry as a positive action.

Bord's Familiarity with Oil Ministry Issues

Aref continued by mentioning the characteristics of Hamid Bord, introducing him as a reputable individual with complete knowledge of the issues of the Ministry of Oil. He expressed confidence that Bord's management could lead to a leap in the performance of the Ministry of Oil, noting that every time he met Bord, he became more interested in his capabilities.

Challenges Facing the Ministry of Oil

Hamid Bord, who has previously held various responsibilities in the oil and energy sector, initially hesitated to accept the caretaker role of the Ministry of Oil due to his belief in creating new opportunities. He was concerned that accepting this responsibility would be unfair to Mr. Paknezhad, the former Minister of Oil. However, ultimately, Bord accepted the responsibility with the aim of addressing challenges and improving the situation of this ministry.

The Ministry of Oil of Iran, as one of the key pillars of the country's economy, has always faced numerous challenges, including fluctuations in the global oil market, sanctions, and the need to optimize processes. It seems that the new management can take effective steps in this regard by adopting innovative solutions and attracting international cooperation.
