Mohammad Mo'tamedi Zadeh, on Sunday evening (October 5), said in the television program Eight Percent: One of the priorities of this commission in recent months, especially after the imposed war and the damages resulting from it, has been in the area of energy imbalance.

Follow-up Meetings with Oil Officials

He added: In this regard, multiple meetings have been held with the Minister of Oil and relevant officials, and the issue of imbalance, particularly in the gas sector, is being pursued seriously. A member of the Parliament's Article 90 Commission emphasized: In the seventh program, various topics including Article 46 have been predicted for managing energy imbalance to reduce pressure on the people.

Consumption Management and Support for the Private Sector

Mo'tamedi Zadeh continued: The approach of the law is not to simply increase tariffs to reduce consumption and put pressure on the people, but rather to provide the necessary grounds for consumption management and the implementation of optimization plans. He emphasized the parliament's support for the Ministry of Oil, stating: The parliament stands by the Ministry of Oil, and inter-agency coordination to advance matters and help resolve energy imbalance is one of the priorities of the Article 90 Commission.

Mo'tamedi Zadeh further pointed to the importance of financing optimization plans and said: In the matter of energy operators, financing is of special importance, and in this regard, the cooperation of the Central Bank and the Planning and Budget Organization to support energy operators is also under consideration.

Successful Experiences in Energy Consumption Optimization

He discussed the obstacles to implementing Article 46, stating: One of the important issues was providing the grounds for the entry and support of the private sector for the implementation of this article, which fortunately both the relevant authorities are on board and the operator companies, some of which are knowledge-based companies, have taken appropriate actions. A member of the Parliament's Article 90 Commission addressed the people, stating: Operator companies are set to visit homes to implement optimization plans and will be active in areas such as improving and optimizing heaters, installing double-glazed windows, and other related equipment.

Mo'tamedi Zadeh, referring to energy savings certificates and emphasizing the issuance of pre-issuance bonds, stated: The certificates issued for operator companies can be traded on the stock exchange, and this can create the necessary economic incentive for companies to enter the field of energy consumption optimization.

He considered Yazd province as one of the successful experiences in this area and stated: In sectors such as brick-making, positive experiences in energy consumption optimization have emerged. This is noteworthy, and the necessary grounds must be provided for the development and facilitation of such experiences.

Mo'tamedi Zadeh stated that continuous meetings and follow-ups in this regard continue in this commission, adding: By fully implementing these plans, a significant portion of the existing capacities for reducing consumption and managing energy imbalance can be activated. He emphasized: This issue is more important in cold regions, as these areas face specific conditions and needs.
