Mehrdad Abdi, the manager of the seventh refinery of South Pars, announced the registration of two significant achievements in the process of replacing the Amin tank bottoms at this refinery. These achievements are particularly important during the execution of operations and in reducing the time for major repairs.
Reduction in Tank Bottom Replacement Time
Abdi stated that in the assessments conducted for replacing the tank bottom of the gas Amin row one, considering the 28-day timeframe initially predicted for the operation, various strategies were examined with the aim of reducing the time. Ultimately, by designing and implementing a new execution method, the operation was completed in 6 days. This action resulted in a 22-day reduction in the tank bottom replacement time.
Abdi continued that this execution method not only reduced the operation time but also allowed for a quicker return of the equipment to the operational cycle. This success demonstrates the technical and operational capabilities of the specialists at this refinery in managing time and executing operations swiftly.
Replacement of the Amin Tank Bottom of Row Two
The manager of the seventh refinery also referred to the inspections conducted in the gas Amin tank of row two and stated that the necessity for replacing the bottom of this tank was also identified. This operation, which was not included in the initial major repair schedule, required the timely procurement and preparation of necessary items and equipment. Despite these challenges, through coordination among specialized units, timely provision of goods and equipment, and intensive planning, the tank bottom replacement operation for this tank was also successfully completed in four days.
In total, the bottoms of two Amin tanks covering an area of 144 square meters were replaced. These actions have not only expedited the repair process but have also improved the overall performance of the refinery and increased its operational capacity. According to Abdi, these two operations are examples of the technical and operational capabilities of the specialists at the seventh refinery in managing time and effectively addressing both anticipated and unanticipated needs in major repairs.
