Maryam Jashnpour, the national athlete in archery, spoke about her passion for this sport and her journey into the professional world of it. In an interview, she stated that she began practicing archery seriously at the age of 11. Jashnpour mentioned the animation "Brave," which featured a girl with a bow and arrow as the main character, saying that this animation greatly influenced her interest in this sport.
Beginning Sports Activity and Family Support
Jashnpour added: "At that time, my entire definition of archery was just a defensive weapon." She recalls that due to her interest in archery, she made a bow for herself at home using a stick and targeted various objects. However, after her mother's advice, she registered for archery classes and realized that this sport was completely different from her initial perceptions.

This athlete, the daughter of Hossein Jashnpour, one of the employees of the National Oil Company, spoke about her parents' support: "My father and mother always emphasized that I should succeed in whatever I do and put in all my efforts to achieve it. They had given me the freedom to make the best choice."
Achieving National and International Success
Jashnpour further explained that she has been pursuing archery professionally for nearly five years. She said: "Participating in shooting classes was recreational for me, but after deciding to become professional in this field, I realized that achieving success requires effort and hard work."
This athlete emphasized that a significant part of success depends on her effort and passion, and although she did not achieve good results initially, she decided to enjoy the sport instead of worrying about the outcome. She recalls that two years ago, she was invited to the national adult team selection but could not make it to the national team. However, last year, by participating in the national youth team selection camp, she succeeded in joining the national team for the Taipei competitions, which they could not attend due to war conditions.
Maryam Jashnpour's ultimate goal in the world of sports is to achieve more national and international successes in archery. With high determination and will, she seeks to work harder and improve her skills to achieve greater success in the future.
