Mahdi Samimian on Tuesday evening, in a meeting focused on examining the production and research and development capacities of Semnan's production units, stressed the necessity of utilizing research and development capacities to enhance production quality and increase productivity. He stated that employing these capacities could strengthen the competitive ability of industrial units.

Documentation of Research and Development Activities

Samimian considered the documentation of research and development activities as one of the important requirements in evaluating production units and added: "Part of the capabilities of industrial units in the field of research and development is not adequately reflected in evaluations due to weaknesses in documentation, and this issue must be pursued seriously." He emphasized the importance of this matter and reminded that documentation could serve as a criterion for more accurate evaluations in the future.

Existing Capacities in Semnan Industrial Park

The governor of Semnan further referred to the existing capacities in the companies located in the industrial park of this province and said: "These capacities can be utilized in the implementation of industrial, petrochemical, refinery, and wastewater treatment projects and other matters." Samimian also pointed to enhancing productivity, reducing raw material and energy consumption, and strengthening research and development activities as effective factors in increasing the competitive power of industrial units.

He noted: "Utilizing knowledge and existing capacities within production units can pave the way for the development of activities and their more effective presence in specialized markets." These statements by Samimian reflect a special attention to the role of research and development in the industrial growth and advancement of Semnan.

In conclusion, he emphasized the necessity of strengthening the performance and documentation of research and development units and called for the elevation of these units' status in future evaluations. Given recent developments, it seems that attention to research and development could play a key role as a strategy in achieving Semnan's industrial goals.
