The Provincial Gas Company of Gilan is implementing a project to install high-efficiency heaters in the cold regions of the province, aiming for smart management of gas consumption and increasing the sustainability of the gas supply network during the cold seasons. This project is supported by the Iranian Gas Trading Company and is designed to optimize gas consumption and provide safe heating equipment to low-income families.
Details of the High-Efficiency Heater Installation Project
Ahmad Danai, the CEO of the Provincial Gas Company of Gilan, emphasized that the priority for distributing and installing high-efficiency heaters is for families under the coverage of the Imam Khomeini Relief Foundation and the Welfare Organization. In the first phase of this project, the target is to install 10,000 heaters in 9 cold cities of the province, including Jirandeh, Barasar, Dilman, and Hovigh.

So far, 5,470 heaters have been installed, resulting in an annual saving of 466 cubic meters of gas for each heater. This initiative not only helps optimize gas consumption but also supports low-income families.
Saving and Its Impact on the Gas Supply Network
The CEO of the Provincial Gas Company of Gilan further added that with the completion of the first phase of this project and the replacement of 10,000 heaters, the annual gas savings in the province will reach 4 million and 660 thousand cubic meters. This level of savings will significantly impact the sustainability of gas flow in the national network.
The implementation of this project aligns with the country's macro policies and aims to reduce gas consumption in the residential sector. Given the climatic conditions and the need for heating during the cold season, this initiative can be considered an effective solution for saving energy resources and helping improve the economic situation of needy families.
