The Central Oil Fields Company of Iran was able to exceed its oil and gas production program in the first half of 1405 in three operational areas: Southern Zagros, East, and West. This success was achieved while the company was developing wells, gas storage, and completing transmission infrastructure.

Details of Gas Production Increase

According to published information, the Central Oil Fields Company of Iran has achieved a daily production capacity of 40 million cubic meters of natural gas by operating new wells in its gas fields. This increase in production is particularly notable in the gas fields of "Khormoj" and "Bidboland," which currently have capacities of 25 and 15 million cubic meters per day, respectively.

Development of Infrastructure and Gas Storage

In line with its developmental programs, the Central Oil Fields Company of Iran has initiated several projects to improve gas transmission infrastructure. These projects include the establishment of new pipelines and upgrading existing facilities. Among the actions taken in this regard is the completion of the gas transmission pipeline from the "Bidboland" gas field to the national grid, which has a daily transmission capacity of 10 million cubic meters of gas.

Additionally, gas storage has been prioritized by the company. With the implementation of new plans, the gas storage capacity in the gas fields will reach 100 million cubic meters by the end of 1405. This measure allows the company to utilize gas reserves during critical times and assist in the country's energy supply.

Consequences of These Successes

The increase in gas production and improvement of transmission infrastructure will not only help meet domestic needs but also enhance the capability to export gas to neighboring countries. According to planned schedules, the Central Oil Fields Company of Iran hopes to achieve a daily export capacity of 5 million cubic meters of gas by the end of 1405, which could strengthen Iran's position in global energy markets.

Ultimately, the increase in gas production and infrastructure improvements will contribute to the country's energy security and reduce dependence on gas imports, while also creating jobs in operational areas. These actions are part of the overall strategy of the Iranian Ministry of Oil for sustainable development and energy supply in the country.
