Hamid Bord, the caretaker of the Ministry of Oil, on Tuesday, October 13, in Assaluyeh, reported on the latest status of major repairs and reconstruction of South Pars refineries. He announced that with the planned arrangements, the major repairs have been timely pursued in the months of Shahrivar and Mehr, and now the main part of this operation has been completed.

Full readiness for winter

Bord further clarified that considering the reconstruction process of the damaged South Pars units, the major repairs of the refineries have progressed according to the planned schedule, and reconstruction and development projects are also being pursued with satisfactory speed. The aim of these actions is to provide sustainable services to the honorable people of Iran in the upcoming winter.

The necessity of energy conservation

The caretaker of the Ministry of Oil also referred to the conditions resulting from the war crimes of enemies and the necessity of managing the consumption of energy carriers. He urged all people to prioritize conservation and abandon unfair consumption. Bord emphasized that the God-given blessings should be used correctly so that we can collectively overcome the difficult historical challenges.

He conveyed the greetings of Massoud Pezeshkian, the President, to the staff and specialists of the oil industry, and appreciated their extra efforts. Bord, referring to the close bond of the honorable people of the southern region, especially Bushehr province, with the oil industry, stated that the purpose of his visit was to conduct a field assessment and expedite the reconstruction processes.

Status of fields and refinery capacities

South Pars, as one of the largest gas fields in the world with a daily production capacity of 100 million cubic meters of gas, plays an important role in meeting the domestic needs of the country. Given that the cold season is approaching, ensuring the proper and stable operation of these refineries is of high importance.

In conclusion, Bord called on all stakeholders and employees of the oil industry to contribute to sustainable energy supply in the country with solidarity and extra effort and to assure the community that the oil industry will serve the people even in the most difficult conditions.
