Hamid Bord, the caretaker of the Ministry of Oil, in a meeting with the CEO and senior managers of the National Petrochemical Company, emphasized the importance and position of the petrochemical industry in the country's economy. Bord stated that this industry has significant capacities for creating added value and generating income.

The caretaker of the Ministry of Oil referred to the necessity of strengthening the regulatory and governance role of the National Petrochemical Company in the petrochemical industry and emphasized that this issue must be pursued seriously in various dimensions. Bord also expressed his readiness to fully support this company.
Precise Management of Petrochemical Product Markets
Bord further stated that the market situation, product prices, and supply mechanisms must be carefully examined and managed in collaboration with various sectors. This approach can provide the grounds for the proper utilization of the capacities of the petrochemical industry. He also pointed out the role of petrochemical products in producing various goods for people's lives and stated that the activities of the petrochemical industry are not limited to production and export but also meet the needs of the country's downstream industries.
The caretaker of the Ministry of Oil emphasized the necessity of paying more attention to the capacities of the petrochemical industry and said: "We must utilize existing capacities to create jobs, increase production, and generate income. The development of the petrochemical industry can have significant economic and social impacts, and from this perspective, attention to its development is very important."
The Entry of Petrochemicals into the Development of Oil Fields
Bord also referred to the strategies for ensuring a sustainable feedstock supply for petrochemical industries and stated that the entry of the petrochemical industry into the development of the country's oil and gas fields with the aim of ensuring sustainable feedstock should be prioritized. He emphasized the need for fundamental actions to maintain the continuity of petrochemical product exports and foreign exchange earnings for the country and noted that efforts should be made to return the foreign exchange obtained from petrochemical product exports to the country's economic cycle.
He also emphasized the pursuit of reconstruction programs for the damaged petrochemical units during the imposed war and added: "The issue of reconstruction must be pursued with seriousness, and all available capacities should be utilized to expedite this process."

Hamid Bord, while appreciating the efforts of the managers and colleagues in the petrochemical industry, noted that in this industry, a collection of experiences and expertise has come together, and it is expected that all actors will strive with renewed motivation to advance the country's goals. He referred to the satisfactory performance of the oil industry in the first half of this year and during the third imposed war and reminded that this trend must continue with strength.
