Hamid Habibi, the commercial manager of the National Iranian Oil Products Distribution Company, announced a 40% increase in the commission for fuel station agents. This increase was made due to inflation and rising operational costs of the stations, following joint assessments with relevant organizations.

Details of the Commission Increase

Hamid Habibi stated that the interim commission for gasoline is calculated at 900 tomans per liter and for diesel at 530 tomans per liter. This decision has been made to prevent disruption in service delivery and to alleviate financial pressures on the fuel station sector.

He also mentioned that with the prolonged process of issuing the final decree by the Cabinet, this increase will be calculated as an interim measure for the year 1404. This increase in commission is particularly significant in the current circumstances where liquidity is essential for fuel station operators.

Consequences and Implications

Habibi further explained that starting from the beginning of the year 1405, the base commission will be paid based on last year's figures. With the new figures uploaded, the overdue claims of fuel station operators for the difference in the first six months of 1405 will be calculated and deposited in the form of product purchase credit and cash settlement. Final settlement will also be conducted after the definitive decree from the government is issued.

This increase in commission can help maintain and improve the quality of services at fuel stations and also provide financial support to these supply channels, leading to stability in the fuel market. Additionally, this action could be effective in supporting both producers and consumers.

Ultimately, the new commission is considered an economic tool for better management of fuel resources and services in the country, and it is expected that its implementation will lead to improved service delivery and reduced financial issues in this sector.
