Seyed Amir Syadatian, the HSE manager of the Siri region of the Iranian Offshore Oil Company, explained about the firefighting operations during the incident of ١٩ Farvardin, stating that the firefighters in this region faced the fire under challenging conditions. He emphasized that the actions of this team do not fit any standard and reflect their courage and commitment.
Unprecedented operations in critical conditions
Syadatian stated that about ١٥ firefighters were present at the scene around the clock during this operation and worked to control the fire. They managed to contain the fire for eight consecutive days under very tough conditions and immense pressure. The intensity and spread of the fire, along with the high heat, put additional pressure on the forces.

The impact of equipment and resource shortages
The HSE manager of the Siri region added: In this incident, several oil tanks and equipment were damaged, and with the loss of two firefighting water tanks, with a capacity of ١٠ million liters, the operational conditions became more difficult. Due to the lack of access to the pump house and low water pressure in some lines, the firefighters had to use water resources from other units.
Syadatian pointed out the importance of equipment in large-scale operations, stating that in the absence of sufficient equipment, teams must compensate for part of the shortage with their physical capabilities, which poses greater risks for firefighters. Despite all these challenges, the firefighters in Siri bravely and committedly remained on the scene and did not allow existing limitations to hinder their mission.
He noted that the firefighters' operations continued even after the fire was extinguished, and they remained in the area for about eight more days to spot and control remaining points. Fortunately, this operation concluded without human casualties, although the forces were under significant physical and psychological pressure.
The firefighters in Siri are also responsible for the safety of the regional airport, which means that firefighting forces are engaged in various missions. Syadatian emphasized the importance of specialized training and exercises and called for the separation of firefighting human resources from other duties to enhance the operational readiness of the forces.
In conclusion, the HSE manager of the Siri region emphasized that the firefighters created a human masterpiece in this incident that should be recorded in history.
