Viking Completion Technology has established new API-certified facilities in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. These facilities are designed to increase the capacity for local well completion equipment supply for operators in the country.
Important Certifications and Facility Capacities
These facilities are one of only two in Saudi Arabia that hold API Q1, API 14A, API 11D1, API 19AC, and API 14L certifications. These licenses assist in the local production of well completion equipment, including subsurface safety valves, packs, sealing assemblies, side doors, and landing nozzles.

New Services and Reduced Dependence on Imports
The new operations also offer equipment assembly services, testing, and completion assembly services. This reduces dependence on imported products and shortens delivery times for oil and gas operators in Saudi Arabia.
Willy Morrison, CEO of Viking Completion Technology, said: "Achieving API-certified status and launching our entity in Saudi Arabia is a major milestone for our team." The Dhahran facility complements Viking's current operations in Dubai, which has been supplying completion equipment to international customers for nearly 30 years.
Viking has stated that this development follows five years of investment in Saudi facilities. The company has also conducted equipment testing in the country over the past three years and plans for further testing and the introduction of new product lines in the next 12 months.
This expansion supports Viking's participation in Saudi Arabia's Total Value Add (IKTVA) initiative, which encourages local production and supply chain development in the energy sector.
