As the largest gas producer in Iran, Pars Oil and Gas Company, with approximately 70% share of the country's energy supply, has focused on energy consumption management and optimizing its processes. In recent years, with the intensification of energy imbalance and the widening gap between supply and demand capacity, the necessity of optimizing energy consumption has become one of the essential requirements in governance and energy efficiency.

Optimization Actions in the Central Building

The planning and control management of Pars Oil and Gas Company has initiated a specific system for energy management, which includes auditing and technical evaluation, identifying waste points, and opportunities for savings. In this regard, a detailed technical audit of the central building on Fatemi Street has been conducted. This audit includes evaluating the performance of energy-consuming equipment and identifying waste points.

The results of these investigations have led to the definition and implementation of optimization projects in the central building. Among these projects are the installation of inverters on water supply pumps, replacing old hot water boilers with new low-consumption boilers, and repairing chiller compressors. Additionally, insulating pipes and ducts and replacing old fluorescent lamps with low-consumption LED lamps are other actions taken.

Energy Management and Efficiency Improvement

To improve energy efficiency, the old windows of the building have been replaced with double-glazed windows to reduce thermal exchange. The boiler room of the central building is also inspected annually based on ISIRI 16000 standards to evaluate the performance of its equipment and operating conditions.

Furthermore, preliminary studies and feasibility assessments for the construction of a concentrated solar power plant at Pars Oil and Gas Company have been conducted. These studies aim to explore the possibility of generating electricity from renewable sources to diversify energy supply sources.

A significant part of energy management in this company is dedicated to measuring and continuously monitoring consumption. The consumption of energy carriers in the headquarters buildings and offshore platforms is reviewed monthly, and the continuous comparison of actual consumption with the energy baseline allows for the identification of deviations from the expected pattern. These actions significantly contribute to optimizing consumption and preserving energy resources.
