Quality and Competitiveness
Vosali emphasized the quality of domestically produced products, noting that this industry has reached a level where it can compete with similar domestic and foreign products. Currently, a significant portion of products, including pencils and pens, are produced domestically, which has reduced the smuggling of these products from unofficial channels.
The Director General of the Stationery Office at the Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade assessed the future of the stationery industry as promising and stated that the Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade has instructed that a strategic plan for the stationery industry be developed in collaboration with stakeholders in this sector. This action reflects special attention to this industry and efforts to improve its conditions.
Dependency and Raw Material Supply
Vosali pointed out the dependency of the stationery industry on various industries, including petrochemicals, metals, and especially paper and board, and mentioned that a special working group has been formed in this regard. The goal of this working group is to expedite the import of raw materials that cannot be produced domestically and to facilitate the supply of domestic raw materials through channels such as commodity exchanges and companies under the ministry's umbrella.
He also referred to the management of currency consumption in the stationery industry, stating that the currency consumption of this industry is still being managed and that components that can be supplied domestically should be localized. Given the existing logistical conditions and the problems arising from maritime blockade and transportation restrictions, we are striving to expedite the supply and transfer of raw materials.
