Kazem Jalali, the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Russia, announced that Masoud Pezeshkian, the Vice Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, will have a detailed meeting with Vladimir Putin, the President of Russia, during his upcoming trip to Moscow, in addition to attending and speaking at the Gas Exporting Countries Forum. This meeting is seen as a suitable opportunity to review bilateral relations and discuss joint projects in the oil and gas sector.

Review of Joint Projects

In this meeting, several major infrastructure projects, including the North-South railway corridor and gas sector projects, will be specifically discussed. These projects will play a significant role in strengthening economic and energy cooperation between the two countries. Additionally, the potential for developing oil and gas fields will be on the agenda of this meeting.

Importance of Oil and Gas Fields

With its rich oil and gas fields, including the Azadegan oil field and the South Pars gas field, Iran is seeking to increase cooperation with neighboring countries, especially Russia. The Azadegan oil field has a production capacity of 300,000 barrels per day, and the South Pars gas field, which is considered the largest gas field in the world, provides significant potential for development and joint cooperation. These fields can be central to future negotiations and collaborations between the two countries.

Given global developments and the need for energy supply, this meeting could help strengthen Iran's position in the international energy market. Furthermore, joint cooperation in modern technologies and infrastructure projects could lead to sustainable development for both countries.
