The price of B30-VLSFO (Biomass 30% – Very Low Sulfur Fuel Oil) at various global ports has seen remarkable decreases over the past week. Among these, the Port of Rotterdam witnessed a decrease of $17 per ton, bringing the price of B30-VLSFO to $1,005 per ton. This price drop is likely influenced by a $24 decline in the price of regular VLSFO at the same port.

Price Fluctuations in Rotterdam and Lisbon

Alongside the decrease in B30-VLSFO prices, the price of B30-LSMGO (Low Sulfur Marine Gas Oil) in Rotterdam has risen by $17 to $1,476 per ton. This increase coincides with a $19 rise in the price of regular LSMGO at the Port of Rotterdam.

In comparison, the price of B100 (100% biofuel) in Rotterdam reached $1,418 per ton, indicating a $209 increase compared to last week. Meanwhile, the price of the Prima Markets barge, which acts as an index for raw material supply costs, has risen by $35 to $2,059 per ton.

Price Developments in Gibraltar and Singapore

In Gibraltar, the price of B30-VLSFO (UCOME) faced a decrease of $166 per ton over the past week, bringing it down to $250 per ton. In this port, the price of regular VLSFO has not changed significantly.

In Lisbon, the price of B30-VLSFO has decreased by $107, reaching $1,005 per ton, which is $9 higher than the price of B30-VLSFO in Gibraltar. Additionally, the price of B30-LSMGO in Lisbon has decreased to $1,600 per ton.

In Singapore, the price of B30-VLSFO (UCOME) has decreased by $56 over the past week, reaching $1,015 per ton, while the price of regular VLSFO has only increased by $5. These changes have resulted in a $61 decrease in the premium price of B30-VLSFO at this port.

Furthermore, this week's data indicates that the sales of blended biofuels in Singapore increased by 48% in August, reaching 57,000 tons, the highest monthly volume since last April.
