Hamidreza Azizi Farsani emphasized the importance of gas consumption optimization as one of the key solutions to overcome energy imbalance, pointing to the existing capacities in the industrial, power plant, and building sectors. He stated that optimizing gas consumption could benefit the country's economy and people, as it reduces costs and ensures the stability of the energy network.
The role of contractor companies in consumption optimization
Azizi Farsani also referred to leveraging the capacity of contractor companies and the private sector's ability to optimize gas consumption. He explained that these companies earn revenue from the saved gas by investing in optimization projects and can sell the saved gas at market prices. This process leads to the creation of a market based on the amount of savings, in which companies will play a significant role.
20-degree temperature campaign and energy savings
Azizi Farsani further mentioned the launch of the 20-degree temperature campaign and stated that the comfort temperature for residential environments in the cold season is 20 degrees Celsius. He emphasized that by using simple measures such as sealing, installing double-glazed windows, and adjusting the boiler and package temperature between 55 to 60 degrees Celsius, significant energy savings can be achieved without compromising comfort. He also noted that public cooperation in energy consumption management is one of the most effective tools to navigate this critical phase of energy imbalance.
Energy consumption optimization not only helps reduce economic costs but can also lead to improved quality of life and environmental preservation. Given the existing capacities in the country and the capabilities of contractor companies, it is hoped that with the cooperation of all sectors, we will witness significant advancements in this area.
