The Pazan field, as an important oil field in Iran, has attracted serious attention from experts and investors. Alongside the gas section of this field, its oil layer has also been specifically examined. Based on recent studies and drilling, evidence of a significant volume of oil in this field has been identified. Preliminary estimates suggest that this field contains about 200 million barrels of oil.
Details of Drilling and Identification of Oil Reserves
Jafari, the exploration manager of the National Iranian Oil Company, stated that drilling another well seems necessary to more accurately determine the volume of oil and confirm the existing reserves. He further mentioned: "Drilling of the third well has also been proposed, as initial evidence indicates the presence of about 200 million barrels of oil in this field. This phase, depending on the identification of the investor, has a greater chance of being pursued from an operational perspective."
Investor and Future Drilling in the Pazan Field
Jafari also pointed out that the investor for the Pazan field has been identified, which has increased the likelihood of continued drilling in this field. Given that the investor is known, it is expected that the operational phases of drilling the third well will begin soon. This drilling could help confirm the oil reserves of the field and also improve the economic situation of the region.
Considering the geographical features and existing potentials, the Pazan field can play a significant role in meeting the country's energy needs. With continued explorations and drilling, this field could become one of Iran's important oil sources and contribute to economic and technological development in this area.
