The Isfahan Oil Refinery has taken a significant step towards strengthening domestic capabilities in the production of heavy equipment for the refining industry with the completion of the ٥٣٠-ton tank. The construction operations of this tank were carried out using automatic submerged arc welding (SAW) technology and narrow gap welding techniques. This technology is used in large industrial projects due to its high precision and ability to weld joints with high thicknesses.

Quality Control and Advanced Testing

To ensure the quality of the welds and joints, thermal conditions were closely monitored, and advanced ultrasonic tests were conducted on the welds. According to the announcement by Isfahan Oil Refinery, the inspection results have been approved by inspectors and representatives of the project stakeholders. These approvals indicate the high quality achieved in the construction of this tank and compliance with international standards.

Reducing Dependence on Foreign Manufacturers

The completion of this equipment not only enables the use of domestic capacities for supplying heavy equipment but also serves as an important experience in the construction and welding of high-pressure tanks. Developing such capacities can help reduce the oil industry's dependence on foreign manufacturers and strengthen the technical capabilities of domestic companies in providing strategic equipment. Gholamreza Bagheri-Dizaj, CEO and Vice Chairman of the Board of Isfahan Oil Refinery, emphasized the necessity for subsidiary companies to focus on specialized areas and develop technical capabilities during the completion ceremony of this tank.

Change in Management Approach of Mosh'al Pouya Company

Bagheri-Dizaj also referred to the change in the management approach of Mosh'al Pouya Company since Azar ١٤٠٣, stating: "Focusing on areas such as the construction of metal structures, tanks, pressure vessels, and air coolers is pursued with the aim of deepening expertise and strengthening the technical capabilities of this company." He considered the development of domestic capabilities in the construction of refining equipment as a trackable area and emphasized the necessity of introducing Mosh'al Pouya's capacities to other industries and expanding industrial collaborations.

At the end of this ceremony, the operation of transferring tank V-٧٤٢٠٣ to the RHU project site of Isfahan Refinery began. This action demonstrates continuous progress in refining projects and efforts to increase domestic capabilities in the oil and gas industry of the country.
