Brent crude oil from the North Sea has reached $106.85 per barrel today, marking a 2.42% increase. Similarly, Iranian light oil is trading at $106.20 in the global market, also reflecting a similar rise. This price increase is equivalent to 25,109,750 tomans for Brent and 24,957,000 tomans for Iranian light oil.
Increase in Heavy Oil Prices and OPEC Oil Basket
Iran's heavy crude oil exports have also risen by 2.42% to $104.10. The OPEC oil basket is currently priced at $105.90. These figures indicate a strong upward trend in the crude oil market, where both Brent and Iranian light oil have experienced significant price increases.

Developments in the Refinery Products Market
In contrast, the refinery products market is facing different conditions. LPG has experienced the highest increase in this sector, rising by 1.40%. Following that, naphtha has risen by 1.15%. However, on the other hand, 10ppm diesel and mazut have seen price declines. This difference in price increases and decreases is particularly significant for refining and petrochemical companies, as changes in the price of each product can have varying impacts on their revenue and profit margins.
Today, the price of Iranian light oil is only about $0.65 lower than Brent, with both indices trading above $106. This situation indicates the stability of crude oil prices above $100, which could be one of the important variables in the energy market in the short term.
Consequences of Rising Crude Oil Prices
The increase in crude oil prices not only affects the revenues of oil companies but also directly impacts product prices, production costs, and exchange rates. Given that global oil prices and the dollar exchange rate can alter the tomans value of exports, the price gap between feedstock and final products is of high importance for refining and petrochemical companies.
Overall, today's energy market reflects an upward trend in crude oil, while the differing behaviors of products and other basic commodities indicate a lack of uniformity in the energy market. Similarly, developments in the global oil market and the state of global supply and demand may attract more attention.
