A.P. Moller Capital has finalized an agreement to acquire a majority stake in Euroports Group (Euroports), one of the leading operators of port terminals and providers of logistics solutions. Upon completion of this transaction, A.P. Moller Capital will become the largest shareholder of Euroports, while SFPIM and PMV will remain as shareholders and support the long-term development of the company.

Performance and Capacity of Euroports Group

Euroports manages over 50 deep-sea and inland port terminals in 10 European countries and China. The company handles more than 70 million tons of bulk, breakbulk, and liquid cargo annually, including fertilizers, agricultural seeds, sugar, fruits, forest products, metals, and minerals. Euroports employs approximately 3,000 people and contributes to the development of logistics infrastructure in Europe.

Future Development and Growth

Euroports is also the owner and manager of Manuport Logistics, an independent logistics company operating in over 20 countries. The company will continue to operate under its own brand and will pursue its growth plan as part of the broader Euroports platform.

Shareholders will support management plans to expand Euroports' activities, increase the scope of operations, and attract additional customers and cargo, while maintaining high service standards and a commitment to responsible growth and creating long-term value for all stakeholders.

This investment follows A.P. Moller Capital's investment in BERGÉ Logistics, a leading port infrastructure and logistics company in Spain, and expands the company's growing presence in transport and logistics infrastructure in Europe.

Koen Van Loo, CEO of SFPIM, commented on the deal, stating: “SFPIM welcomes A.P. Moller Capital's entry as a shareholder of Euroports. A.P. Moller Capital's financial strength and operational expertise will enhance Euroports' future, a vital logistics player for the Belgian economy.”

Michel Casselman, CEO of PMV, also stated: “We are very pleased to welcome A.P. Moller Capital as one of Euroports' shareholders. The entry of such a global investor into Euroports confirms the company's strong position and the quality of its business.”

Kim Fejfer, Managing Partner and CEO of A.P. Moller Capital, added: “In a changing world, resilient supply chains and secure trade flows are increasingly essential for economic stability and growth.”

Joe Nielsen, Partner at A.P. Moller Capital, said: “Euroports is a broad port and logistics platform with a diverse network of terminals that offers its customers resilient supply chain opportunities and access to critical cargo flows across Europe.”

Frédéric Platini, CEO of Euroports Group, emphasized: “This transaction marks the beginning of a new chapter for Euroports and provides a strong foundation for continued growth, seeking new opportunities, and strengthening existing infrastructure.”

The completion of this transaction is subject to the fulfillment of customary closing conditions, including obtaining regulatory approvals and other third-party consents.
