Oil product reserves in Fujairah, located in the United Arab Emirates, decreased by 9.9% during the week ending October 12, 2026. This decline is attributed to a significant drop in heavy product reserves, which are used as fuel for ships and for electricity generation.

Reserves Drop to Lowest Level in Four Weeks

According to data released from the Fujairah oil industrial zone, total reserves reached 6.825 million barrels, marking the lowest level in four weeks. This amount also reflects a 34% decrease over the past three weeks. Heavy product reserves have fallen to 3.291 million barrels, which is again the lowest level in four weeks.

Fluctuations in Marine Fuel Prices

On October 13, the price of marine fuel with 0.5% sulfur reached $993 per ton, the highest price since September 21, and a 2% increase compared to the previous day. Additionally, the price of high-sulfur fuel (380 CST) also reached $738 per ton, indicating a 0.4% increase during this period. This price is also the highest since September 16.

Increase in Light and Middle Distillate Reserves

While heavy product reserves have decreased, light and middle distillate reserves have increased this week. Middle distillate reserves, such as diesel and jet fuel, reached 2.774 million barrels, the highest level since February 23, before the start of the Iran war on February 28. Furthermore, light product reserves, including gasoline and naphtha, reached 3.291 million barrels this week, reflecting a 30% increase compared to the previous week and an improvement from the lowest recorded level last week.
